How to Earn by Learning Secrets of Clickbank Marketing

Article #1

Clickbank’s #1 strength and why you should take advantage of it

If you have just started with affiliate marketing, you probably already know about Clickbank. There is no way you would not run into this brand. It is a powerhouse brand in the world of affiliate marketing. With that said, a lot of people have all sorts of opinions about Clickbank.

To some people, Clickbank is the best thing since sliced bread. To other people, Clickbank is a really bad affiliate marketing program. Maybe they just didn’t have much luck with this system and that’s why they have such a negative view of it. Regardless of where you stand in terms of Clickbank’s quality, there is one thing about this affiliate marketing platform that is undeniable.

In fact, this quality is its stock and trade. The only other affiliate advertising program that can boast of this feature is none other than Google’s own AdSense system. What am I talking about? I’m talking about Clickbank’s #1 strength, which is a very wide niche coverage.

Let’s get one thing clear. If you are looking to market online by attracting online traffic and converting that traffic into dollars and cents, you have to have access to an affiliate program that would cover your niche. Outside of AdSense, the only program that I would trust with a wide enough niche coverage is Clickbank. That’s how massive this system is.

Whether you run a blog that teaches people how to brew beer or you run some sort of dating advice column, Clickbank has got you covered. Clickbank will give you access to products that would enable you to turn your traffic into cold hard cash. This is Clickbank’s #1 appeal. Most other programs except for AdSense cannot even come close. They really can’t.

They’re either too focused on certain niches or they’re too generalized. Make no mistake, you should take advantage of Clickbank’s very wide niche coverage because there is a lot of traffic all over the internet. There is a tremendous amount of communities out there. These are people who have clustered around certain topics and niches.

They share lots of content involving a common problem that they have. You just need to attract their eyeballs with the right piece of content and get them to your Clickbank affiliate product landing page. That’s your job.

The best way to do this, of course, is to join such a program that has a wide enough niche coverage to cover pretty much all traffic sources. That’s exactly what you get with Clickbank.

A reliable partner for your traffic generation campaigns

The most awesome thing about the CB affiliate program is the fact that niches have sub-related niches. Even if you can’t find a product that is directly related to your niche, there’s a high chance CB has a product that will fit your sub-niche. Not only does this give you a great way to monetize your traffic, but you also get another key advantage: monetization optimization.

Although most products may not be the most optimal fit for your traffic, when you line up many different CB products for comparative reviews, you’re more likely to pick a high-converting product. By promoting as many different CB products to your traffic, you end up with the most optimal product fit for your traffic flow.

Is it too late to promote Clickbank?

I get this question a lot. I guess people are concerned about Clickbanks viability as an affiliate marketing program precisely because it has been around for so long. The thinking is that if a brand has been around for so long, then somehow it is overexposed. According to too many affiliate marketers, if youre promoting a brand that your audience members have pretty much seen for quite some time, they probably are not going to convert.

Well, thats their opinion. In many cases, a lot of people who think this way did not do all that well with Clickbank. Again, theyre entitled to their opinion, but you have to understand that their opinion is colored by their negative experience. Maybe they just dont know what theyre doing. Maybe they did not pick the right product to promote. Maybe they targeted the wrong audience.

There are just a million and one things that they could have done wrong, which produced a negative experience. Sadly, they tend to be united in their negative view of Clickbank. In their understanding, when a brand gets overexposed, its ability to convert traffic into cold hard cash goes down quite a bit.

This is not automatic. Please understand that this does not have to be the case. When it comes to Clickbank, oftentimes, this is not the case. How come? Well, most of the time, youre not promoting the Clickbank affiliate marketing platform in the first place. Most of the time, youre promoting a product found in their marketplace. You are not promoting the marketplace itself.

Do you see the difference? This is why its a good idea to look at Clickbank as a source with a wide niche coverage of affiliate products. Thats all it is. Its a source of products you can sell, so you can turn your online traffic into cash. If you get asked whether its too late to promote Clickbank, you should have a ready answer.

The answer, of course, is no. As long as Clickbank continues to add new products to its roster, youre in good shape.

Dont end your analysis here though. Dont just hop from one product to the next. You have to be more systematic and methodical about product monetization optimization. This increases the likelihood that youll identify the small set of CB products that work best with your traffic. In other words, by optimizing product selections, you end up maximizing your products conversion rates. Keep scaling up and youll be able to convert as much of your existing traffic flow into cold hard cash at an optimal rate.

Product monetization optimization goes a long way in stepping up your Clickbank passive income. If you dont do this, youll end up in the same position as too many other CB product marketers. They simply settle for cents on the dollar instead of maximizing their income potential through a tight fit between the products they promote and their traffic volume. Do yourself a big favor and do not settle for mediocre results-you can always do better!

Click bank gravity scores can be your undoing

I remember the first time that I got into Clickbank and it was really easy for me to get excited. When I got into Clickbank, it felt like I was a kid trapped in a candy store. I didnt want to be let out. There are just so many different products to promote because I knew that there are many different sources of traffic on the internet.

These distinct streams of traffic have demonstrated demands for certain niches. It felt like I was shooting fish in a barrel. It was that easy. For example, I would go to a forum and they would talk about how hard it was to brew beer in your basement. Sure enough, I would look for keywords related to home brewing or DIY beer brewing, I would then find all sorts of products on Clickbank to sell to this market.

Again, its like shooting fish in a barrel. Thats how I played the game for a long time and I did quite well. However, things began to change when I noticed that a lot of my friends who also promoted Clickbank products started to promote the same product. What gives? Werent they making money before when they were promoting many different products to different audiences?

It turned out that a lot of people simply got lazy. Instead of doing the heavy lifting of looking for Clickbank products that appeal to certain audiences and looking for those audiences all over the internet, people would rather look at one number and one number alone. I am, of course, talking about the gravity score of any particular product found on Click bank's marketplace.

I noticed that my friends who got lazy and just relied on Clickbank gravity scores ended up making less and less money than before. To make a long story short, a lot of them never recovered. A lot of them eventually got out of Clickbank and started promoting other affiliate marketing platforms. Its anybodys guess if they were able to replicate their initial success.

This really is too bad because too many people place too much faith in Click bank's gravity score system. Now, please understand that Im not saying that gravity scores are completely worthless. Im not making that claim. Nobody can. What I am claiming is that you cannot put all your eggs in one basket.

You have to understand that the Clickbank gravity score of a particular product is essentially a marketing tool. It gives some sort of assurance that, given the right set of circumstances, the product that youre thinking of promoting from Click bank's marketplace can sell. Obviously, the higher the gravity score, the better the product will sell. Who can argue with that?

The problem is, that there are a lot of things that you do not see that account for that score. It may well turn out that of all the hundreds of people promoting that same product, only a relative handful are actually making any real money. This is a classic statistical illusion.

Unless the gravity score is based on median sales performance, it can only give you an average. As you probably already know, averages can be quite deceptive. Im sure Clickbank did not intend to deceive people with the gravity score. Im sure they set up the system with the noblest of intentions. But at the end of the day, people still walk away with a false sense of security because they think that they are promoting a product that should sell like hotcakes.

Boy, are they in for a rude surprise. How come? You have to understand that gravity scores are based on averages. This means that if you are making zero dollars per year and a new neighbor of yours moves right next door to you who makes one million dollars a year, and there are only two of you in that village, this means that the average income of your village is $500,000 a year

To outside people, this might seem like a good thing. But to you, the guy making zero dollars a year, this is a slap in the face. Do you see how this works? The same applies to Clickbank gravity scores. Dont think that just because you joined the long list of people promoting a product with a high gravity score, that you automatically somehow absorb the success of a statistical minority of marketers. It doesnt work that way.

Do yourself a big favor. Rely less on gravity scores and focus more on how the Clickbank product you are promoting tightly fits the needs of the people you are trying to reach out to

Build your Clickbank promotions business around existing demand

There are so many ways to fail with online marketing that it really boggles the mind. Whats even more shocking is that a lot of people seem to be in a hurry to discover the latest and greatest method of failing early. I know that sounds kind of sad and pathetic, but thats precisely whats going on. You have to understand that just because you think a product is hot, awesome, or the next big thing, it doesnt necessarily mean that other people will share your excitement.

If experience is any guide, chances are, they wont. In fact, the more excited and pumped up you may be about a particular Clickbank product, the more you might want to take a step back and reflect on whats going on.  You might be getting carried away by the hype and exaggeration.

Unfortunately, when you look at the sales pages of these products, theyre not going to do you any favors. In fact, they will probably add gasoline to the existing fire of your excitement. They will egg you on. They will tell you what you need to hear to get you pumped up enough to promote their product.

Its not in their interest to give you a realistic view of what theyre about. It is no surprise that so many people who discover Clickbank through these heavily hyped and exaggerated courses, books, and programs end up wasting their time, efforts, and money. Please understand that this doesnt mean that Clickbank is just one giant scam. Instead, this highlights the fact that people play the Clickbank marketing game the wrong way.

You have to understand that just because youre excited about a product or a need, it doesnt necessarily mean that you have to build a website, build a brand, and hope that somehow people will end up on your website. It doesnt work that way. If thats how you play the game, dont be surprised if you keep failing.

Turn things around. Thats right. Turn your model on its head. Instead of looking at the product that you can then build up demand for, turn the model on its head. Do things in reverse. Start with the demand. Look all over the internet and find places where people talk about a common problem that they have.

Next, find a Clickbank product that addresses that problem either directly or indirectly. This is how you build a successful Clickbank business. You have to build it on the solid foundation of existing demand. This demand must exist right here, right now. It must not be theoretical. It must not be speculative. It must not be hypothetical. It must be real.

People must be clamoring for it right here, right now. Not tomorrow. Not the next week. But today. To get the inside scoop on how to build such a business, click here. By being a bit more systematic and methodical in your search for Clickbank product marketing, you increase your chances of developing passive online income dramatically.

What is the KLT process and how can it help you sell more Clickbank products?

If you have ever tried your hand at affiliate marketing or any kind of online promotion, you should already be familiar with the phrase, KLT process. What does KLT stand for? To recap, it means Know, Like, and Trust.  This is the foundation of any kind of sales.

I dont care whether youre selling stuff on a street corner, in a department store, or over the internet. You have to go through this process, otherwise, youre not going to make a sale.

How does this work? Well, ask yourself when was the last time you bought something from somebody you completely did not know? You havent heard of this person before. They just stepped up to you and tried to sell you stuff. Do you think youd buy from them? Obviously, not. Most people dont think that way.

How come? Something is missing. Trust. For you to buy something, you have to first trust that the product solves a problem of yours. You also have to trust in the integrity of the person. This person is not blowing smoke up your backside. This person is not defrauding you. This person is not deceiving you. This person is actually who they claim to be.

Any representations they made about the product they are selling are spot-on. Thats how you build trust. When there is trust, people are more likely to whip out their credit cards and buy stuff. Do you see how this works? There has to be trusted for sales to happen. But heres the problem, for us to get to that stage, the person convincing the prospect must get the prospect to like their category of solutions.

For people to decide on a brand of watch, they must first be made aware that a certain type of watch is the best choice for them. In other words, they have to like a category of products that the ultimate product that youre selling falls under. To complicate matters even more for them to get to that point, they must first feel that you know enough about their problems and possible solutions for them to trust you with your recommendations regarding the categories of products they should consider.

In other words, they have to first feel that you know what youre talking about, they have to like the category of products that you are promoting, and ultimately, they have to trust this specific product that you are selling. You may be thinking that this is long, convoluted, and overly complicated. It isnt.

In many cases, people go through the KLT process very quickly. In fact, in many cases, its a simple matter of one, two, or three.  But you have to go through the process. You have to build credibility and authority.

Now, I wish I could tell you that all people make very quick decisions. Unfortunately, some people take far longer than others. Whatever the case may be, you have to know how the KLT process works. This way, you can create content for each step of the conversion process. Sure, you get less and less traffic as you get closer to the thrust stage, but thats okay.

As long as you get enough people at the Know stage, eventually, you would get enough conversions to make the whole thing worthwhile. Wrap your mind around this when youre promoting Clickbank products. You have to build your Clickbank marketing system with KLT firmly in mind.

Thats how you play the Clickbank marketing game to win. Simply thinking that putting a Clickbank ad in front of somebody who may not be interested will lead to conversions can lead to a one-way trip to failure. Qualify your traffic through the KLT process. To see how this works using content, click here.

How can a three-layer content marketing strategy boost your Clickbank sales?

A three-layer content marketing strategy involves three distinct pieces of content. They all link to each other, but you have to set them up properly and you have to write the right piece of content in the right sequence. If you set this up the right way, you can turn content into some sort of traffic conversion tool.

In other words, you can pump a lot of traffic to the first layer. This is content that establishes the fact that you know what youre talking about. You talk about the problem your visitors have and you discuss the possible options that they should consider.

When they read this, they get the feeling that you actually get where theyre coming from. Youre not a complete and total stranger trying to shove some unwanted solution down their throat. Youre not somebody who is trying to hide the ball or somehow deceive them. Instead, you come off as a straight shooter who genuinely cares about their problem. Youre walking them through a solution.

If they get that impression, they would click on the next piece of content in your three-layer content marketing system. This piece of content lines up the different types of products that deliver the kind of solution theyre looking for. Again, youre not recommending a specific Clickbank product. Youre not at that stage yet. Instead, you are just laying out and describing the different product category options out there, how they work, the common features they share, and their own distinct sets of advantages and disadvantages.

As they go through this material, you subtly direct them towards the category of products your promoted products fall under. If you do this right, people would click through and then they would end up on a comparison page. Believe it or not, most people cannot resist such a comparison page since they are hard-wired to process information laid out in a comparative form.

On the comparison page, you will have many different Clickbank products that solve the same problem. Regardless of which product they ultimately go with, you still win because youre promoting Clickbank products using an affiliate code for all the items on display on that product comparison page.

At this point, you have built a tremendous amount of trust in the eyes of people who managed to click through. If you look at whats going on, youre essentially creating a funnel. Its an inverted pyramid. At the top is a wide opening. This is where you pump a lot of traffic. Not everybody is going to click through the middle level, so this gets narrower and narrower.

By the time it goes to the conversion page, which is your product review comparison page, you would have relatively few people. But guess what? These people are so qualified and so in-tune with prior information that you have shown them, that they are more likely to convert.

The three-layer content marketing strategy works. You just have to set it upright. It works especially well with Clickbank products.

This is the #1 success ingredient in forum marketing

Ive been promoting Clickbank products for many years now. Ive seen a lot of affiliate marketers come and go in this business. A lot of them come in, talking a big game. In fact, a lot of them make a lot of noise. Its very easy to fall for the hype. Its very easy to think that a lot of these people know exactly what theyre talking about. After all, theyre talking about making a lot of money.

But just as the day following night, a lot of these marketers all too predictably fail. They become quiet sooner rather than later. The reason for this, of course, is that they look to get traffic from all the wrong places. Once they do get access to potentially lucrative traffic, they end up dropping the ball. One good example of this is forum marketing.

Make no mistake, it would be great to put your product information in front of the eyeballs of people who have demonstrated in no uncertain terms that they are interested in the solutions your products bring to the table. You may be thinking that this is a slam-dunk. You might be under the impression that this is like shooting fish in a barrel.

I cant blame you for thinking that way. It seems so easy. But somewhere along the line, they drop the ball. How come? Well, this is very easy to do with forum marketing because when you go on a forum, it seems that everybody there is already talking about a fairly narrow set of problems. Its very tempting to just put your link in front of these eyeballs and call it a day.

Thats precisely what too many marketers do. Heres the problem, what theyre doing is spam. Nothing more, nothing less. This is why its really important to understand the #1 success ingredient in forum marketing. It doesnt matter whether youre promoting Clickbank or not. It doesnt matter whether youre promoting products or services.

If you understand this key success ingredient in forum marketing, you will win consistently. What am I talking about? What is the #1 success ingredient in forum marketing? Its credibility. Thats all it is.

You have to market on forums using your credibility. How do you build credibility? Again, its very simple. You just post and interact and engage. Thats what forums are for. These are like online watering holes. People show up to these places, partly to share information, and to party to socialize.

If you engage in those behaviors and you give people information that they can see is legit and trustworthy, you become authoritative. People, sooner or later, start giving you the benefit of the doubt. Once you reach that point, you can then start marketing your own stuff.

Since they are giving you the benefit of the doubt, a lot of the traffic you get from your forum marketing efforts is more likely to convert. Unfortunately, a lot of people dont think they have all the time and patience to do this. So, what do they do? They find all sorts of forums and look for related discussions and they just drop a link.

Maybe they put a little bit of content around it or maybe they would come up with an original comment, but ultimately, it boils down to the link that they are dropping. It is no surprise that the vast majority of people who market on forums this way fail. If you think about it hard enough, theyre not really marketing. Theyre just basically throwing their links all over the place. Talk about a waste of time.

Focus on building credibility and building real online relationships and reputations and you will find yourself handsomely rewarded.

Why do so many Clickbank marketers fail on Quora?

If there is any anyone kiting platform you need to pay attention to, it is Quora.com. Quora is the internets leading question and answer platform. People from all over the world post questions on Quora related to all sorts of topic categories. Whatever question you may have posted on Quora, chances are, somebody with the right knowledge set will answer your question sooner rather than later.

Thats how big Quora is. In fact, Quora is the top 200 websites on the planet in terms of traffic volume. Quora, as far as traffic generation is concerned, is not going to go away any time soon. Given the tremendous traffic potential that Quora represents, it really is quite mindboggling why so many people fail on that platform.

In fact, a lot of Clickbank marketers completely blow it on Quora. Ive gone through many of these accounts. Ive gone through many of their posts. Ive looked for patterns. After connecting the dots, I can confidently say that the vast majority of Clickbank marketers who fail on Quora fail on three grounds.

First, they dont care about the question that they are answering. They just look at Quora as a place to drop links. Let me tell you, the moment you answer a question with information that is not directly related to the question, you are a spammer. At least thats how the system will treat you. If you put a link to your answer, chances are, it will get removed. There is also a high possibility that if you keep this up, your account will get banned.

Another common reason why Clickbank marketers fail on Quora is that they are so eager to drop a link. When they join, they immediately start answering questions directly related to their niche. They also immediately drop a link in those answers. Bad move. Quora is not a spam platform. In fact, it has algorithms to detect precisely this kind of behavior.

It would really suck for you to answer 100 questions and drop links to all 100 questions, only to have all your answers deleted and your account banned. That happens quite often.

If you post only text for all your answers, you are putting yourself at a competitive disadvantage. Theres nothing more intimidating than a massive block of text. Dont scare people off. Also, when you format your answers this way, your answer actually looks quite generic since competing Quora marketers also format their materials this way. Do yourself a big favor and put in the time and effort to format your answer.

How do you reformat your answer for maximum appeal (and possible upvotes) on Quora? Use different fonts, subheadings, embedded videos, pictures, or diagrams. The more interesting your answer looks, the more eyeballs (and traffic) your site gets.

Finally, a lot of Clickbank marketers post custom answers that are simply unreadable. If you have the writing skills of a first grader, you have o business posting answers on Quora. Either you have somebody else do it for you or you just need to stay off the platform. Thats the bottom line. If you want to succeed with Clickbank marketing on Quora, click here.

This insiders guide will spell out the step-by-step process you need to follow to market successfully on this amazing question-and-answer platform

Article #9

Is there such a thing as a wasted forum post?

A lot of people are under the impression that if they find the right forum for their intended niche, they are pretty much on their way to making a lot of money. I really cant say I blame them.

If you are promoting a product on a vegetarian diet from Clickbank and you find vegetarian forums, its easy to conclude that you just need to post somewhat relevant information on these forums with a link to your blog post, which then in turn promotes you Clickbank link, that you will make money.

On the surface, this makes a lot of sense. After all, youre just putting the right information in front of the right eyeballs. There is a tight fit in terms of needs and problems. But the problem here is that there is a lot more to it than that. If you want to be successful in any kind of forum marketing, you have to build credibility.

When people look at your name, they should feel confident that you would know what youre talking about. You should build a brand on these forums, otherwise, youre just going to be wasting your time. Seriously. You may be posting link after link, but sooner or later, your account will get banned. Youve just wasted your time.

Thats why I can say that there is such a thing as a wasted forum post. If you dont bother to qualify the link and build it up and clearly explain why its related to the needs of people in the forum, chances are, you would lose whatever credibility you have managed to build up until that point, and rightly so.

It really would suck if you put in all this time and effort putting together a winning forum post. This is not an easy thing to pull off. You have to target the right keywords. Next, you would have to come up with a theme for a post that your target audience would like. Finally, you would need to create forum content that is compelling enough for people on social media to want to share. In other words, you are going to have to jump through many hoops to put together optimal content for your forum posts. The tragedy is that even if you can manage to do all of the above, you end up dropping the ball by failing to fully maximize the traffic potential of otherwise amazing content you post on forums. You end up benefiting them while failing to get anything out of all your efforts!

Do yourself a big favor. Understand that every time you post on a forum, you are building a personal brand. Think of this as a branding exercise. If thats your perspective, then the chances of you posting garbage go down dramatically. Keep that in mind. The forums that you are marketing to dont exist for your benefit. They have their own agenda.

By working with the community instead of against it by spamming it, you increase the likelihood that you will drive more qualified traffic to your blog or website. To get the inside scoop on how to do this properly and in the proper sequence in light of the KLT sales process, click here.

How can you build self-reinforcing traffic streams for Click bank promotions?

A lot of people are under the impression that traffic is something that is not much different from pork bellies, potatoes, wheat, or rice. In other words, they look at traffic as this raw ingredient for making money online.

This raw ingredient, like highly processed flour or wheat or rice, can be bought anywhere at any time. This is, after all, just the raw ingredient for online income. If this is your thinking, join the club. I cant even begin to tell you how many people share your ideas. They think that making money with Click bank is really all about setting up a conversion system.

As long as all the parts are there, then the system will work and all they need to do is add traffic. They lack imagination, resourcefulness, and creativity. This is why their first instinct is to buy the traffic. This is a very dangerous mindset. It really is. If you want to avoid bankruptcy, you might want to step away from this type of thinking.

Please understand that traffic is not an afterthought. In fact, I would argue that traffic is the most important part of your Click bank revenue system. I know that may seem like a shock to a lot of people. After all, theyve had the idea drilled into their heads all these years that they have to create the right website and the right system first, and then they just add the traffic.

Its actually the other way around. You find the traffic first and then you build a business around it. If you can do this, then the traffic that you managed to get from such a system is not one-time traffic. You know exactly what Im talking about. When you pull traffic randomly from all over the web, these people check out your website and they quickly bounce out.

In fact, in many cases, they dont even bother to read your website. They couldnt care less. Clicking that link was an accident. Do yourself a big favor. Build your business around existing traffic and use content to create self-reinforcing mechanisms and loyalty-building features that would get people to not only visit your website once but stay on your website for a long time.

Set it up so they end up liking your content so much that they come back again and again. To get the inside scoop on how important the self-reinforcing traffic systems are to your Click bank promotions business, click here.

Let me clue you in on one key self-reinforcing or self-repeating traffic: mailing list traffic. If you are serious about truly leveraging the conversion value of your traffic, you need to build a list. You really do. In fact, this should be one of the things you need to think about right after you put up your Click bank content site.

You have to understand that the vast majority of visitors youll ever get to your pages will never come back. They just click and they leave. Either you convert them then and there or youll lose them forever. To get chance after chance to convert this traffic into cold hard cash, get as much of them to join your mailing list. When you send an update, there is a very big chance that some of the traffic you would have otherwise lost permanently will come back to your site. Also, when you send an update, theres a chance some of your list members would click on the CB affiliate links in your email content. Leverage your hard-earned traffic today!
